Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a dual master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Psychology from Marymount University. Throughout her career, Brittany has worked with diverse populations in various settings, including forensic, school-based, and clinical environments. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based, grounded in the belief that deepening one's understanding of self—and the choices that either reinforce or disconnect from that sense of self—lays the foundation for meaningful healing. Brittany strives to empower her clients to access their inner resilience, guiding them on a path toward healing and purposeful living. Understanding the vulnerability that can come with beginning therapy, Brittany prioritizes creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported and heard. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has completed the Advanced Trauma I Treatment certification with Lisa Ferentz.

Janine is a dedicated School-Based Mental Health Technician who provides case management and support services to elementary, middle, and high school students across Talbot County Public Schools. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Social Work. Janine brings valuable experience from her previous roles as a school interpreter and a mental health clinic interpreter, where she supported therapeutic services for diverse student and adult populations. She is especially passionate about advocating for and serving the Latino community, striving to ensure that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Shanez Jenkins

Shanez Jenkins

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Shanez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and board-certified social work supervisor, with a Master’s degree from Salisbury University (Class of 2013). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and has completed the Advanced Trauma I Treatment Certification through the Ferentz Institute. Shanez brings a wide range of experience to her work, including school-based mental health and forensic mental health settings. She has worked closely with individuals seeking meaningful, lasting change and rebuilding supportive connections within their communities. Shanez specializes in working with adolescents and adults navigating symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. Her approach is centered on empowering clients to process past experiences and take meaningful steps toward healthier, more fulfilling lives. In addition to her clinical work, Shanez serves on the Board of Directors for Mid Shore Behavioral Health, where she contributes to advancing access to quality mental health services in the community.

Currently, Amanda is a partner at Peace of Mind, where she oversees all clinical and administrative staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and organizational excellence.

She is both EMDR-trained and CBT-trained, and her therapeutic approach is grounded in a strengths-based, person-centered framework. Christina offers a compassionate, non-judgmental space where individuals of all ages—from children to adults—can safely explore, heal, and grow. Christina specializes in supporting clients through grief, depression, and anxiety. She is dedicated to helping people identify meaningful goals and make small, sustainable changes that lead to lasting positive outcomes. As a board-certified supervisor, she also mentors and supports other social workers on their professional paths.

Donna is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who received a Master's degree in Counseling from the Houston Graduate School of Theology in 2010. Over the years, she has had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families through some of their most difficult seasons. Her professional experience includes working in acute care hospital settings, where she provided support to children, adolescents, and adults through both inpatient and intensive outpatient services. She has also worked in a domestic violence shelter, offering compassionate care to women and children navigating trauma and transition. Over the past 10 years, she has continued her work as a therapist here on the Eastern Shore, helping clients with a wide range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to grief, trauma, and relationship issues. She is trained in several evidence-based and expressive therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), sand tray therapy and play therapy. These approaches allow her to meet each person where they are --- emotionally, developmentally, and spiritually --- using methods best suited to their unique needs. Her counseling style is compassionate, non-judgmental, and deeply person-centered. She believes in a holistic approach that honors the whole person --- mind, body, and spirit. Jay graduated from Salisbury University in 2012 with a Master’s in Social Work. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service as a firefighter. Following retirement, Jay sought a career that would allow him to apply the skills he developed in the military in a new and meaningful way. This led him to pursue Social Work at Salisbury University, where he earned his MSW. Jay specializes in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and providing family and couples therapy. He believes therapy is most effective when a warm, open, and trusting environment is established between client and therapist. He encourages an atmosphere of nonjudgmental curiosity, helping clients feel safe enough to explore whatever brings them to therapy. Jay is honored to support clients as they navigate the challenges, triumphs, tragedies, and joys that life presents.

She works with individuals from high school age through adulthood and is passionate about providing a safe, supportive space for those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Megan’s clinical approach is client-centered and rooted in empathy, authenticity, and empowerment. She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation, coping skills, and self-awareness. She also takes a holistic view of wellness, honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and welcomes the integration of spirituality for clients who find it meaningful in their healing journey. Megan has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and, though early in her EMDR practice, has already witnessed powerful outcomes with clients. Wala-Neh is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. He holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, a Master of Divinity from Kairos University, and completed his doctoral academic program in Family Studies at Walden University. With a unique specialization in the integration of body, mind, and spirit, Wala-Neh takes a holistic approach to healing, helping individuals, couples, and families achieve lasting wellness. His therapeutic work is grounded in a deep understanding of family dynamics and relationship systems, making him a trusted expert in family therapy and couples counseling. Beyond traditional therapy settings, Wala-Neh has served as an expert witness in child custody and reunification cases, bringing his clinical expertise to the legal system. As an ordained minister, he offers Christian counseling, and as a certified health and nutrition life coach, he supports clients in developing healthy lifestyles that nurture both mental and physical well-being. Wala-Neh is deeply committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment where clients can heal, grow, and build stronger connections. She began her career at Shore Health System, where she supported patients across all five floors of the hospital. Since 2015, Amy has been a key provider at Peace of Mind Mental Health Services, specializing in the treatment of adults with chronic mental health conditions and addictions. She is especially passionate about helping clients understand and implement healthy boundaries and is known for offering each individual the validation and respect they deserve. In recognition of her unwavering commitment and compassion, Amy was honored with the Caliber Award for Unsung Hero in 2025 by Mid-Shore Behavioral Health.

Eric is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Salisbury University. He currently serves as a school-based therapist at Easton Middle School, supporting students in grades 6 through 8. In this role, Eric works closely with school staff, parents, guardians, and other members of a student’s support system to address concerns and promote overall well-being. Eric takes a person-centered approach to therapy, tailoring services to each client’s unique goals and circumstances. He is committed to empowering individuals throughout the therapeutic process, respecting their autonomy while offering compassionate guidance and support. With deep empathy and cultural sensitivity, Eric creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients and families can openly explore their needs and goals. Drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based strategies, and Solution-Focused Therapy—Eric adapts his methods to best serve each client. He works collaboratively to identify challenges, develop insight, and implement interventions that align with individual needs and promote meaningful growth. Eric provides support for a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, academic challenges, conflict resolution, and issues related to home life. Through a supportive and individualized approach, he strives to foster resilience, self-awareness, and lasting positive change in the lives of the students he serves.

His compassionate, individualized approach to care has made him a trusted provider for families seeking mental health support. He is a partner at Peace of Mind, where he also serves as the Medical Director. In this role, he oversees all prescribing clinical staff, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based treatment for every patient.
